Clifford Devlin’s Asbestos Division won a competitive tender for works at a shopping Centre situated in the town of Chatham in Kent.
The works involved the removal of AIB debris to the ceiling void and removal of AIB boxing along with various non-licensed ACM’s throughout the store.
The works were carried out while the shopping centre remained open so that the centre continued to operate normally without closure.
The team carefully managed the potential interface between the live public shopping areas and the works. We also coordinated deliveries and managed access to different areas while ensuring safety and security in the live environment.
Despite the challenges of working in an operational shopping centre, the removal works were completed to programme which avoided delays that would have negative consequences for both the shopping centres operations and the businesses within it.
