Clifford Devlin has started work on its first project for Wates Living Space following a strategic agreement under their Closer to Fewer scheme.
The work involves the demolition of factory and office space in Stratford High Street, a busy shopping centre in East London. The eight-week project entails asbestos removal and the deconstruction of an office block to make way for a 12-storey block of flats.
In October 2007 Clifford Devlin and Wates Living Space entered into a strategic trading agreement in which they agreed to share early project and tender information, value engineering, competitive pricing structures. As a Supply Chain Partner Clifford Devlin is also committed to helping Wates achieve its future health, safety and environmental targets.
Simon Underwood, Business Unit Director, Wates Living Space said “we are delighted to be working with Clifford Devlin on this landmark scheme in Stratford. Our Closer to Fewer scheme enables us to work much closer with our supply chain and share best practice across both businesses.”
