Clifford Devlin are delighted to announce that we won the Demolition Contractor of the Year award and the Asbestos Operative of the Year award, for Adam Thornton, at the British Demolition Awards, held at the King Power stadium in Leicester. We were honoured to have been presented our asbestos operative award by the amazing Mavis Nye, the President and Co-Founder of Mavis Nye Foundation.
The British Demolition Awards, brought to you by Chambers Media, is the UK’s premier demolition event and a celebration of all that is great about the industry in the UK and further afield. The chosen charity for the British Demolition Awards was the construction mental health champion – Mates in Mind.
Now in its fourth year, the event is going from strength to strength, recognising the foremost national and international players in the demolition industry and providing industry professionals with a forum to meet, socialise and talk business.
The British Demolition Awards 2022 catered for up to 600 guests from the demolition, construction and asbestos sectors, with a late licence at the King Power Stadium.
We are grateful to the judges for selecting us from a list of very worthy nominees and are very proud to have received these awards, highlighting the excellent standards achieved over the past year at Clifford Devlin.
Liam Hennessy, Director of Group Operations at Clifford Devlin commented on our double success:
”We are immensely proud of our team’s performance in the past 12 months. In what has been a difficult time with the industry largely being in recovery post pandemic, we have been fortunate enough to secure work on excellent schemes with new and repeat clients alike, we are grateful for having worked with all of them. Since March we have been celebrating our 60th year in the industry and I feel that our team, from top to bottom, have demonstrated the reason why the company has been a fixture in the London and Southeast construction marketplace for so long. In a year when we have looked back at the foundations on which the company was built, we are grateful to have received this accolade which does not only celebrate the work of the previous 12 months but also all of those people, throughout our history, who have provided us with the platform we find ourselves operating from today.”
Ben Chambers, Chief Executive of Chambers Media said:
“As impartial as I am I was nonetheless delighted to learn that Clifford Devlin had double success at the prestigious British Demolition Awards this year after our elite team of renowned judges had finally deliberated and honoured them with two industry awards. I started to work with Clifford Devlin this year within Demolition Hub and Asbestos Hub magazines and the more I interact with their various team members I liaise with then the more I can get a further grasp of their professionalism, hard work ethos, great spirit and their tremendous contribution to British demolition over the past 60 years. I am delighted to be able to honour the company with the title of Demolition Contractor of the year for 2022 as well as rewarding their colleague Adam with Asbestos Operative of the Year.”
Thank you to Ben Chambers and the team at Demolition Hub and Asbestos Hub.
