Soft Strip

Prior to structural demolition the building will typically be stripped of any non-structural fixtures/fittings and contents. This may include floor coverings,  doors and doorframes, non-load-bearing partitions,  electrical installations, ceilings and raised floors, cabling and ducting, sinks, toilets, pipework, radiators etc.

We use a variety of essentially hand demolition techniques during strip-out which are carried out by trained operatives using mattocks, sledgehammers, crow / nail-bars, disc cutters and reciprocating saws etc

Debris arising from soft stripping activity is transferred to ground level and typically sorted so that skips or wheelie bins can be filled with a single type of material for recycling wherever possible, with usually only organic waste being disposed of as “rubbish”.
