Six Appeal

London-based asbestos removal contractor, Clifford Devlin, has been awarded its sixth consecutive Gold Training Award by the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA).

Fifteen supervisors and operatives from the company’s Asbestos Division attended courses throughout the year designed to maintain and enhance their competencies at ARCA’s training suite in Rayleigh, Essex.  Over the course of the year Clifford Devlin’s team scored an average 96.9% - well above the 92.5% threshold required to qualify for a Gold Award – the highest achievable.

Clifford Devlin has forged a high profile within the asbestos industry’s trade body since becoming a corporate member on 1986. Managing Director, Tim Clifford joined its Governing Council in 1998 and currently sits on the trade body’s Training Committee. Clifford Devlin were also one of the original members to trial the Site Audit Accreditation Scheme in 2004.

The Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) is the leading trade association in the field of asbestos management services. It was formed in 1980 to support the asbestos removal industry in the UK.  Over 35 years in operation the Association has seen many changes in working procedures and legislation. Membership has grown considerably from the original four founder members. The trade body now has over 260 members throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
