Marsh Move 'Final Piece of Jigsaw' in Management Restructure

21st November 2018

Wayne Marsh has joined Clifford Devlin to head-up the London-based contractor’s Asbestos Division. He will be responsible for business development and the overall performance of the company’s asbestos services. Wayne previously spent 3 years as Managing Director of 777 Demolition.

His appointment completes the new company structure, which includes the creation of a second-tier ‘management board’ which will report directly to its main Board of Directors.

Tim Clifford, Managing Director of Clifford Devlin, commented:
“Wayne’s appointment is the final piece if the jigsaw that completes the restructuring of our management teams. He has extensive experience in the industry and we are confident that his arrival will bring a fresh and focused approach to the development and management of our Asbestos Division.”

Wayne will be responsible for the management and performance of the Asbestos Division. As well as providing strategic leadership he will work closely with the company’s Commercial Department to develop existing and new business including a hands-on role in managing and supervising the full lifecycle of project and contract work from identifying opportunities through tender, negotiation, mobilisation and delivery.

Mark Collins and Daniel Tuffin will continue in their existing roles as Contracts Managers, reporting directly to Wayne.

Wayne will draw upon a 25-year career in the construction industry which has included a number of management roles with several of the industry’s household names: His career started at BAA Plc where he project-managed a number of key developments including the demolition of Terminal 2, several building services replacements and refurbishments.

Two years as Contracts Manager at Tesco preceded a three-year stint as Asbestos Contracts Manager at Rhodar where he was responsible for several key framework contracts. Two years at Cuddy Group followed before he left to join Buckingham Group’s Demolition Division as Senior Contracts Manager where he was responsible for business development, client liaison, estimating and procurement.
