Following an audit by Achilles in March, Clifford Devlin has had its certification against the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) renewed for another 12 months.  The accreditation enables us to carry out asbestos removal, building and demolition in track-side locations and reflects the robustness of its management systems which ensure works carried out in these high-risk environments to be undertaken safely.

The audit was particularly successful and resulted in Clifford Devlin being awarded a 5 star rating from Achilles, the highest available. The 5 star rating is designated when the highest standards have been consistently maintained over 5 consecutive years. Clifford Devin has also achieved 5-star ratings for Building Confidence (construction) and UVDB Verify (utilities).

Clifford Devlin has considerable experience of providing enabling works to support the development of large scale civil engineering works in airports, rail and utilities environments. The company has carried out asbestos removal and demolition at key rail projects including the recent Borough Viaduct scheme for Thameslink at London Bridge Station.

RISQS is the supplier qualification service for the UK’s rail industry which includes Network Rail, Transport for London, passenger and freight operating companies, rolling stock organisations, main infrastructure contractors and many other buying organisations in the management of supply chain risk. Previously known as Link-up, RISQS was first which was introduced in the late 1990s is sponsored by a board of representatives from across the rail industry.
