Damien Flatley (Head of Demolition)

Background: Damien Flatley has spent the last 21 years in the construction sector building up experience in various capacities and disciplines from Quantity Surveying to Project Management.

He has hands-on knowledge of all the elements of complex inner-city demolition projects with complex enabling works from service disconnections to asbestos removal, soft-strip, structural demolition and groundworks. Damien’s key strength is his ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved.

Responsibilities: Damien is ultimately responsible for ensuring that demolition works are carried out according to programme, price and specification. His duties include providing technical support to projects and compiling Method Statements and risk assessments for more complex issues, in support of contracts managers working under his direction; overall supervision of the activities on-site, coordinating our teams and any subcontractors, liaising with other contractors, site representatives and other stakeholders. His quantity surveying background also enables him to manage the commercial aspects of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Member of The Institute of Demolition Engineers (MIDE)
  • CCDO Demolition Manager (Black Card)
  • CSCS Demolition Engineer  (Yellow Card)
  • CPCS Appointed Person Lifting Operations (Blue Card)
  • Construction Skills Construction Site Managers Safety Certificate (SMSTS)
  • Construction Skills Temporary Works Coordinator Certified
